It’s been over seven years since Mega Man Legends 3 was initially revealed and then canceled a few months later by Capcom.
Since then, fans have been hoping to see the series revived, as well as the popular Game Boy Advance series of Mega Man titles, Mega Man Battle Network.
With Capcom announcing Mega Man 11 a few days ago, which will be the first main Mega Man title in the past seven years, a lot of fans hope to see more of the Blue Bomber in the future.
After Mega Man 11’s announcement, Game Informer spoke with the producer of the game, Kazuhiro Tsuchiya, and director Koji Oda, and asked them about the possibility of a Legends or Battle Network title in the future. When asked about the Mega Man Legends and Battle Network series, Oda said that he was aware of fans craving a new title in both series.
“I love reading survey data,” Oda said in Game Informers’ interview. “It’s a great pastime. I’m well aware that there is a voice out there that wants something new for games like Mega Man Legends and Battle Network.”
It’s good to see that the team knows what fans of the series want from the Blue Bomber, and if Mega Man 11 is a success, perhaps we could see a new entry in the popular series in the not-so-distant future.
