Good news anyone waiting for Resident Evil 7 to finally release on January 24, 2017. The game is supporting HDR not only on PS4 Pro, but on Xbox One S as well, a Capcom rep said in a press release earlier this week. HDR allows you to have a wider range of color and more contrast on your HDR compatible TV.
“The full game will be compatible with the PlayStation 4 Pro, allowing the immersive gameplay to be experienced in high-resolution, luxuriant 4K with rich visuals only HDR can deliver,” said Capcom. “Similarly, with HDR support on the Xbox One S, players can enjoy gameplay in Full HD that offers realism that can almost be felt.”
The Japanese developer and publisher didn’t mention HDR on regular PS4 models, anyway, although Sony’s console supports this feature on compatible TV thanks to just release 4.0 firmware. Is this going to be fixed in time for launch? We’ll offer you any update about this as soon as Capcom adds something more to this.
Beginning Hour demo was downloaded 3 million times on PlayStation Plus and it is now available for everyone out there with a PS4 at home with an extended version called Twilight.
