CoD: Ghosts Xbox One Doesn’t Support Offline Play Says Moonlightswami, Box Art Confirms Allegation?: Updated
Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One needs internet connection to play, as per the details revealed by Twitter user “MoonlightSwami” (he got access to Xbox One early via Target Store and was BAN from Live by Microsoft.)
This is really a strange revelation by Moonlightswami, as he has already installed 500 MB Day One patch on Xbox One which eliminates the need ot DRM restrictions from the console.
Check out the information shared by Moonlightswami via Twitter:
Just a quick update, with my temporary console ban in place, I CANNOT play Ghosts offline. It requires online, and the ban prevents Live.

Just to make a point, it was announced months ago an internet connection was required. Can’t really do anything with the ban, not sure

Going further deep into this controversial topic, we take a look at the back cover of Call of Duty: Ghosts PS4 and Xbox One version. The PS4 cover clearly states that CoD: Ghosts supports Offline Play i.e players will be able to play the game without internet connection, however no such things were mention on CoD: Ghosts Xbox One cover.
Neither Activision nor Infinity Ward has issued a clarification on this, but we expect to hear something from them soon, so stay tuned to Gamepur as we will update this post as we get to hear some official words from concern person.
