Bohemia Interactive has shared a new update (development status report) on DayZ and it they assured gaming community that DayZ is going to come out of Early Access status next year and it will also release on Xbox One in 2018. In a long post on DayZ official blog, Eugen Harton (Producer) first detailed Update 0.63 Beta and what all new features are going to come to the game, and at the very end, Eugen mentions that after the release of Beta, DayZ console version will release and that he promises it will be 2018.
Eugen said: “As soon as the PC BETA is headed in a way we like, we’re still committed to bringing DayZ to Xbox, where we have a large community of gamers patiently (very patiently!) waiting for a truly hardcore online survival game. All of that will (and must) happen next year – meaning we’re just about to start what could possibly be the most exciting year for DayZ so far. In short: DayZ will be out of Early Access next year, and we’ll also finally deliver it to console players in 2018.”

The development work on DayZ was started in 2012, and as per the official information provided by the Bohemia Interactive – the game has sold over 3 million copies since its alpha release. At Gamescom 2014, DayZ was announced for PlayStation 4, and at E3 2015 – it was announced that the game will release on Xbox One under Xbox Game Preview program (i.e Early Access).
