Death Stranding Gameplay At The Game Awards 2017 Confirmed?

Death Stranding, Kojima And Reedus To Host A Panel At Tribeca Film Festival

There was a lot of talk going on on the internet regarding the appearance of Hideo Kojima at The Game Awards 2017, and Geoff Keighley teased it recently via a new The Game Awards 2017 teaser trailer which featured Hideo Kojima’s sequence from The Game Awards 2016 where he stated – “One More Thing” before releasing the second trailer of Death Stranding. This was more of a teased from Geoff about Kojima’s appearance at this year’s The Game Awards and by no mean an official confirmation. Fast forward to today and we finally received an official confirmation not only of Kojima’s Appearance at The Game Awards – but also Del Toro will also be present at the event.

In a series of the tweet, The Game Awards Official Twitter account revealed: “Presenter announcement: Don’t miss Guillermo Del Toro live @thegameawards on Thursday night! #TheGameAwards @RealGDT.”

“We are so thrilled to announce our next presenter for Thursday night: Hideo Kojima! The legendary game director will once again appear at #TheGameAwards”

Geoff Keighley added: “It is always a great honor to welcome @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN to #TheGameAwards. I’m happy to confirm Hideo is attending and will present an award with @RealGDT on Thursday night! You won’t want to miss it.”

Now, this is where things get interesting and why we are very positive about seeing a new Death Stranding Trailer or Gameplay at The Game Awards 2017. Geoff Keighley and Hideo Kojima has a great working relationship, and we have already seen in the past – how the duo have come together to reveal the new projects that Kojima was worked on – the most recent case is of Death Stranding – it was announced at E3 2016 at PlayStation conference via a debut trailer, and a few months later at The Game Awards 2016 – Kojima release the second trailer for Death Stranding.

Secondly, Del Toro recently revealed that he expects Hideo Kojima to show him the gameplay of Death Stranding in next couple of weeks. There is every possibility that this “Next Couple of Weeks” term could be for The Game Awards 2017.

This means – PlayStation fans should really get their hype to the maximum level as there is every possibility that we are going to see a new Death Stranding trailer or the first look at the actual gameplay at The Game Awards 2017.
