We heard a lot about the Destiny 2 in past few days, starting from gameplay reveal, to the details on the some of the graphical features Destiny 2 will support on PC and consoles. However, there was one important aspect that Bungie didn’t answer at the special reveal event, Is Destiny 2 in development for Nintendo Switch as well? Our friend at IGN asked this query with Bungie’s Mark Noseworthy, and it’s a bad news for Nintendo fans.
Mark Noseworthy officially confirmed that Destiny 2 Nintendo Switch port is not at all in development, and it would pretty unrealistic considering the fact that Destiny is an online-only game. Read the full response of Mark Noseworthy below, this is what he said when asked about Destiny 2 Nintendo Switch port:
“I think it’s pretty unrealistic, given we’re an online-only game, right?” he said. “[The Switch is] incredible, I love the console, but in terms of where it’s at, I don’t want to leave anyone with the possibility of, like, ‘It’s a thing we’ll consider, maybe next year.’ There’s no plans right now for Switch.”
I think all third-party video game developer has just one reason (or I should say excuse) for not bringing their game to Nintendo Switch: WE LOVE NINTENDO SWITCH, but our game would not work on it. What do you guys think? Share your opinion with us in the comment section below.
Destiny 2 is scheduled to launch on September 8 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. PC version release date not yet decided. Bungie and Activision will talk about Xbox One and Project Scorpio version of Destiny 2 at E3 2017.
