Destiny 2 will receive HDR and 4K support for consoles next month

Bungie has announced a number of informative updates about some changes coming soon to Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 on consoles will be getting support for high dynamic range (HDR) and adaptive 4K resolution on Dec. 5, alongside the Curse of Osiris expansion pack.

The upscaled graphics will only be available on the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, but they previously were unavailable altogether across all consoles. The PC version of the game is capable of both.

Bungie also confirmed that Destiny 2’s first “Clarion Call” event will take place beginning Nov. 17. That weekend, everything you do with a clanmate in your fireteam will earn you double XP.

On the subject of weekly resets, Bungie announced a change to the timing. In the past, the weekly milestones and events would reset every Tuesday at 3am CT. Now, to line up with things like DLC releases and the start of events like Iron Banner, resets will now take place at 11am CT to keep everything in line with each other.

Next week, Bungie will begin a series of streams that will highlight the future Curse of Osiris DLC, with three streams in total leading up to its release on Dec. 5.
