In the recent week, the 2nd iteration of the Devil May Cry trilogy was released for the consoles and PC. And it was mentioned that for the consoles, the game will be locked at 1080p FHD with no 4K support for the consoles. And naturally, we assumed that the same for the PC however, that does not seem to be the case.
As Capcom came forward and commented on the Steam version of the HD collection that The engine and game code/logic is tied to the video refresh cycle and the game will support resolutions 4K and beyond.
Speaking at ResetEra Forums, Capcom’s WBacon said: “The engine and game code/logic is likely tied to the video refresh cycle. The game will support resolutions 4K and beyond though.”
So, it is good to know that it will support 4K UHD on PC, the interesting thing about their comment is that the game will support 4K and beyond. From this, we can safely assume that the game will run on any configuration of monitors whether it be Ultra wide or an Ultra-wide configuration made of 4K monitors.
Capcom surely has done a great job at porting the game for 4K+ resolutions for PC and will make a lot of DMC fans satisfied.
