Demon hunter Dante gets a new lease on life with the upcoming Devil May Cry HD Collection, set for release next year in 2018.
It’s been quite some time since we had a chance to mingle with the stylish slayer, but ever since we played the original Devil May Cry in 2001, Dante has remained an important character in the PlayStation ecosystem and beyond.
While characters like Bayonetta came around and upped the ante considerably, the Devil May Cry series remains a beloved franchise—and one that’s been in need of an updated collection for some time. It’s an engaging mixture of hack-and-slash, platforming, and RPG elements with a story that’s gotten even weirder ever since its debut. And while Devil May Cry 2 isn’t particularly great, it’s still worth experiencing for kicks.
The newly-updated trilogy will feature 60fps gameplay and crisp visuals with all three main games in the Devil May Cry series. You won’t get Devil May Cry 4 or the Ninja Theory-developed DmC in the package, but those are available in their own separate updated versions. The Devil May Cry HD Collection will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Mar. 13, 2018 for $29.99.
