One of the most talked about feature of DualShock 4 controller (PS4 controller) is its TouchPad, developers can program it to make it work they want to.
Recently DICE, developer behind one of PS4 launch title Battlefield 4, talked about how they are going to make use of DualShock 4 Touchpad functionality in their upcoming shooter.
“We’ve experimented [with the touchpad], but haven’t exactly nailed how we want it to behave just yet,” said multiplayer producer Aleksander Grondal in a recent interview to OPM.
“Obviously flicking to throw a grenade is an option. There’s a bunch of things we’re testing out – we just haven’t settled on anything.”
We are just waiting to watch what DICE comes up with DualShock 4 Touchpad functionality and Battlefield 4.
Guerilla Games has already confirmed that Killzone: Shadow Fall will use touchpad to let players switch between drone buddy OWL’s special abilities.
