There’s a new leaked screenshot from what is supposed to be the upcoming Assassin’s Creed game, reportedly called Empire and possibly set in the Ancient Egypt. As we’re used to leaked images or art, it’s not possible for us to neither confirm or deny its authenticity, but it’s fun to take a look at it and try to provide a first analysis of what that could be.
If you have a look on Reddit, it’s like Ubisoft might be working on a trilogy set in Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome as a total reboot of the Assassin’s Creed saga. That’d be nice, but we don’t have elements to prove that possibility to be true. On top of that, anyway, there’s this new screenshot that has an Assassin’s back with ancient shield and armor.
He’s likely entering some sort of ancient building like a pyramid, or a tomb (well, actually a pyramid IS a tomb). And confirming that the location is Egypt we have an internal code on the bottom of the off-screen image reporting “GIZA”. Again, we can’t confirm any of the information but an Assassin’s Creed game set in Egypt would look much fun.
The latest Assassin’s Creed game, aside from The Ezio Collection, is Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. It was set in the Victorian Age’s London and had two siblings as the protagonist. It was pretty good, but sales weren’t at all, mainly because of the Assassin’s Creed Unity debacle the previous year.
