At E3 2016, Bethesda announced a lot of interesting stuff: “new Quake game, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, free content for DOOM, Prey, Dishonored 2” and many others, but nothing was said about the new installment in The Elder Scrolls series, The Elder Scrolls VI.

Bethesda Executive Producer, Todd Howard, has confirmed to Geoff Keighley at E3 2016, that Elder Scrolls VI announcement is still too far away because his studio has two other major projects planned before the reveal or announcement of Elder Scrolls VI.

This information was shared by Pete Hines via Twitter. Here is what he wrote on Twitter: “Todd confirms to @geoffkeighley that his studio has two other major projects planned before we will see a TES 6.”

When asked: Whether these two major projects is Dishonored 2 or Prey or new Quake? Hines replied that Todd Howard’s studio is not involved w any of those games.

When asked by another fan: Why Todd Howard did not speak on stage at E3 2016, might be of the fact that he is working on Elder Scrolls VI? to this Hine replied:

“because I knew if he stepped on stage you would all expect/assume TES 6 and I didn’t want to do that to anyone”
