It seems like Playstation gamers will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on Final Fantasy VII Remake for PlayStation as Square Enix Producer Yoshinori Kitase has hinted that the much awaited Remake won’t arrive in 2016. In a recent interview to a popular Japanese magazine Famitsu, Kitase stated that 2016 is still going to be a year of preparations for Final Fantasy VII Remake.
“I believe that this year will still be a year of preparations for Final Fantasy VII Remake,” shared Kitase. “I’d like to create a new kind of value for the hardware that is the PlayStation 4 for our next announcement.”
Final Fantasy VII Remake is currently in development for PlayStation 4. According to the details shared by Game Director Tetsuya Nomura, Final Fantasy VII Remake is not going to be a “Simple Remake” and that scenario writer Kazushige Nojima is working on new story content for the title.
Square Enix has revealed the first gameplay footage of the remake at Sony’s PlayStation Experience keynote on December 5, 2015. You can watch it below now.
