It’s time to stop dancing. Or, at least, dance a little less. Fortnite: Battle Royale’s Boogie Bomb is being nerfed, Epic Games announced today.

The duration of the grenade will be reduced from 10 seconds to five, but further changes are expected in the future. The Boogie Bomb was added just a few days ago as an item in Battle Royale, and it’s hilarious.

The Boogie Bomb explodes on impact and makes everyone within its radius start dancing uncontrollably. Players can move and crouch but they cannot shoot or build, so it’s basically a death sentence.

“We’ve gotten a lot of passionate feedback regarding the Boogie Bomb over the last few days and I wanted to give a quick update,” said Epic Games in a forum post. “As most of you have mentioned, its effect has been a bit stronger than we expected. In the short-term, we’re going to reduce the effect of the dance to five seconds. We don’t think this is going to be a silver bullet, but it should help alleviate some of the frustrations with its current implementation.”

Epic also has a number of possible changes it will be evaluating to further tweak the grenade, like removing the instant explosion, having it create a “dance zone” where the effect goes away if you leave the area, disabling the dance effect when taking damage, or allowing players to build while dancing.
