Ghost of Tsushima is the next big PlayStation exclusive IP from Sucker Punch. It was announced recently at Paris Games Week 2017 where Sony and Sucker Punch showcased an impressive looking trailer giving PlayStation fans a glimpse at the lead protagonist and the game’s setting. Since then the only new thing Sony has confirmed that there will be a special Ghost of Tsushima Panel at Playstation Experience 2017 where the development team behind the game will share new details and possibly a look at the gameplay (we have a feeling that there will be a Ghost of Tsushima Gameplay at PSX 2017). However, it seems like someone at Playstation New Zealand jumped the ship a bit too early and shared some plot and lead protagonist details of Ghost of Tsushima.
PlayStation New Zealand updated their website with the following Ghost of Tsushima details (NOW DELETED) – the name of the lead protagonist and why he is up against the Mongol Army.
Steel and swordsmanship – you must master both to survive in this colossal quest across 1274 Japan, where the Mongol army has taken over Tsushima Island. Don your armor, sharpen your katana and strap on your longbow as you assume the role of Jin, a battered samurai who remains the island’s only hope against the ruthless Khan and his vicious empire.
Through swaying bamboo forests, ornate castles and luscious landscapes one brave soul must fight back against overwhelming odds. Can you build your legend as “the Ghost” in a bloody tale of betrayal and sacrifice, inspired by classic samurai stories?
Not that big details, but still something that will raise the hype and excitement level of PlayStation community until Playstation Experience 2017.
In another news, it has been officially confirmed that Daisuke Tsuji is the actor of the protagonist in Ghost of Tsushima. You guys can take a look at the image of Daisuke Tsuji below.
