The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is among the most important releases this year, and one of the most anticipated titles in the last and next few years. It’s releasing for Nintendo Switch and Wii U. As reported on Nintendo Today, we have more details involving the development process at Nintendo, coming from a recent Eiji Aonuma interview.
The producer revealed that Nintendo had 300 developers working on the Breath of the Wild project, which is the first open world title in the long running series and is supposedly going to change it forever thanks to its huge sandbox nature. Aonuma himself has been working for 20 years on the franchise.
Sure enough, this means this is the most expensive The Legend of Zelda games ever, and one we’re hopefully going to play and remember for a long while. Nintendo has put a lot of effort into Breath of the Wild, as the title was first announced for 2015 and later delayed to 2016, before being pushed into this year to fit Switch’s release date.
It’s coming on March 3.
