Ubisoft’s upcoming open world hacking title, Watch Dogs is one of the most awaited and highly anticipated titles of 2014. Today, lead designer Danny Belanger talked about the difference between Watch Dogs current and next-gen graphics and gameplay elements.
Danny stated that waters from the next-gen port of Watch Dogs is not at all possible on current-gen version of Watch Dogs.
“It’s not concessions, we’re trying to do the exact same game. There are some differences though, obviously with more power, you can have a deeper simulation. A game like ours is great for that, being systemic with more and more cars, more variety in the people, more people, a stronger simulation.”
“The water is definitely something that is not possible on current-gen, so that will be a difference, but for the rest it’s the same experience, it’s the same mechanics,” said Danny.
Watch Dogs is scheduled to launch on May 27 for PS4, PS3, PC, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Recently Ubisoft confirmed that for PC port of Watch Dogs, Uplay is mandatory even on Steam.
