List of unplayable games on Xbox One Kinect-less Bundle, “Changes to UI in work” says Microsoft


Yesterday, Microsoft announced Kinect-less Xbox One bundle for $399. The bundle will launch on June 9. Ignoring Kinect from Xbox One completely will definitely hurt some of the features/games.

Xbox OneSo we decided to make a list of games that will be completely unplayable on Kinect-less Xbox One bundle. This means price cut of $100 does comes at an expense of something.

Here are the five games that will be unplayable on Xbox One without Kinect

  • Kinect Sports Rivals
  • Just Dance 2014
  • Xbox Fitness
  • Zumba Fitness World Party
  • Fighter Within

Upcoming Xbox One games that will be unplayable on Kinect-less bundle are: “

  • Fantasia: Music Evolved
  • Dance Central game from Harmonix

List of games that make use of some of the features of Kinect but still will be playable on Xbox One Kinect-less bundle

  • Dead Rising 3
  • Forza 5
  • Killer Instinct
  • Ryse: Son of Rome
  • Battlefield 4
  • Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
  • CoD: Ghosts
  • Crimson Dragon
  • Fable Legends

In addition to this, owners of Kinect-less Xbox One bundle will have to navigate system’s dashboard and apps using a controller as current User Interface of Xbox One is geared more towards use of voice control. Yusuf Mehdi, chief marketing and strategy officer for Xbox has already confirmed to Engadget that Microsoft is working on interface changes for controller users.

“We do want to find ways to give you some of those shortcuts and make some of the things that we have with Kinect easier with the controller,” said Mehdi.

“You can expect to see us do a bunch of things over the coming months to make the experience easier and easier, even if you don’t have a Kinect.”
