Mass Effect 4 is Massive In Size/Scale As Compared To DA: Inquisition, 200 Devs Working On It, Coming In 2016
The only thing Bioware has confirmed so far about the next installment in Mass Effect franchise is that it is currently in an advance stage of development and will feature a brand new lead protagonist. Today via NeoGaf, well known industry insider Shinobi602 revealed some interesting new details about Mass Effect 4: “number of developers now working on the game, release date ‘whether 2015 or 2016’, actual title of this new installment” and many other thing.
According to Shinobi602, Mass Effect 4 development team staff members have skyrocketed to around “200”, this massive increase came after the launch of Dragon Age: Inquisition (before DAI launch, the staff members working on ME4 was around 50 or so).
About the release date of Mass Effect 4, Shinobi602 said: he is confident that Mass Effect 4 will arrive at some point in 2016, but the date is not yet said internally.
Dragon Age: Inquisition was one of the biggest (in terms of scale and things players can do in the game) title on PS4/Xbox One. Earlier, Shinobi602 stated that Mass Effect 4 is more massive than DA: Inquisition, when asked: in what terms he is talking about? Shinobi602 replied:
“Massive’ in terms of size/scale, that’s all. Yea ‘optimistic’ but not unlikely or anything, it could very well be ready by Q2 2016, the date’s still not set even internally. There were about 50 or so devs on the game around when DAI shipped, that’s since quadrupled in number. That new build Gamble was talking about was a big milestone related to that. Doubling down on one single engine (Frostbite) across all the studios is a huge advantage. ‘
Late 2015/very early 2016 was my own line of thought before I talked to certain people. They’re making it the best game it can be, it’ll be worth the wait.
It’s 100% coming next year.”
Lastly, Shinobi602 stated that the “Title” for this new installment in Mass Effect franchise has already been finalized by Bioware.
As the above mentioned details come via an unofficial source, we are putting it up as rumor and advice our readers to take it with grain of salt.
