E3 2016 is going to be a hell of an event for gamers, that’s almost for sure with all the rumors floating around the internet without any remote form of verification, and now we even Microsoft smashing the hype button before its media briefing finally starts on June 13.
Xbox Marketing VP Mike Nichols told GamesIndustry International the whole company is “excited to share more details on what Xbox fans can expect this year and beyond. We expect this to be a special E3.”
Indeed, E3 2016 could be the place where video games change forever. There could be room for something unique like console hardware upgrades, making Xbox One more powerful while not launching a proper next generation in gaming.
Sony has already revealed the existence of PlayStation 4 Neo today, but stated it won’t be fully announced at E3 2016. So, Microsoft could announced an Xbox One Slim with some kind of re-spec, and then reserve the rumored Scorpio model to a later date.
