Major Nelson has provided his comment about PlayStation 4 having basically all the additional content for the main games out there before Xbox One. According to the Xbox Live spokesman, Microsoft is trying and pushing on quality stuff like the Elite Controller rather than focusing on such things, although that approach is still valuable in his opinion.
“They [Sony] just decided to write a lot of cheques from what I understand; we certainly had the options, and we would look at it, but it’s like, is that the best way to spend money or should we work on creating maybe an Elite controller?,” he said talking at the PAX Australia 2016.
“There’s no right answer: we look at every single opportunity, and go, ‘Is this the best for the community and the best use of our money, or would it be better somewhere else, like working on Xbox One S or something like that?’.”
Of course, we’d like to have both things, but it seems that as of now this is not possible anymore. Sony is currently focusing on partnerships and things that can make the PlayStation brand more relevant, while Microsoft prefers to offer higher quality products to his current users.
