In an interview with producer Ryozo Tsujimoto conducted by Mein-MMO, he mentioned that the time taken by an average player to complete the main campaign of Monster Hunter World will be around 40- 50 Hours. He also said that players will spend more of their time in crafting and upgrading their gear after the main campaign is complete.

Keeping the campaign aside, Director Yuya Tokuda said: “players can enjoy more activities post-launch through free updates and weekly event quests”.

Judging from the campaign lengths of the previous titles in the franchise, we can safely say the main campaign will be fairly long and the side quests or the post-launch events will extend the gameplay duration to quite an extent as Capcom said that their primary focus for this game will be its narrative. In addition to that, they are making a few changes to the gameplay mechanics such that a player can complete the game in their own play-style.

If you want to try out the Monster Hunter World right now, a beta is now available on PlayStation Store exclusively for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
