During a recent Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection live streaming, Naughty Dog offered new details about Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, the upcoming and supposedly last episode in the Nathan Drake saga. In particular, Brutal mode and narrative were discussed by writer Josh Scherr and Lead Animator Eric Baldwin.
Brutal mode is going to be made available after completing the game on the Crushing difficulty, in both The Nathan Drake Collection and Uncharted 4. Internally, only one QA tester was able to complete the game on this level of difficulty, so it looks like it’s going to be pretty tough.
Talking about narrative, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is being worked on to allow both older and new fans to appreciate its story. The latter would better buy The Nathan Drake Collection, anyway, if they want to fall in love with the characters and the themes of the franchise.
Furthermore, all the cut-scenes will be displayed in real-time, which means that if your character has a certain weapon with him and has received severe wounds, all of this will be part of the show when the filmed scene starts. Cool.
