The Last of Us 2 is one among the most desired follow-up in gaming history, after the first chapter was so much surprising and appreciated by fans when it released on PS3 – it also arrived via the Remastered edition on PlayStation 4. Naughty Dog knows this, and it also knows how to troll its supporters all over the world providing tips every now and then about the fact that the game could be actually in development. The official word is “no”, but those tips are way too clear.
During the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection live streaming held recently by Naughty Dog’s Monacelli, Scherr and Baldwin, one of them at a certain point said this:
“and he was the one in charge of face animation for the 3 Uncharted games and the first The Last of Us game… did I just say the first The Last of Us game?”
Of course, this ‘confusion’ was a clear message to people watching the live streaming, a tip about The Last of Us 2 being in development, at least in the very early stages.
Our idea is that we will hear some more about the game next year, maybe with some kind of teaser, right after Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is released. What about you?
