Minecraft developer 4J Studios via Twitter has just issued a new update regarding development work on Playstation 4 and Xbox One version of the game.
The studio confirmed that development work on next-gen version of Minecraft is going “FINE” and added that currently they are in talk with Sony and Microsoft on world size.
4J Studios confirmed that Minecraft PS4/Xbox One world size is not “Infinite” due to save size limits but added that its lot bigger than PS3 and Xbox 360. Here is what the tweet reads:
“Fine! Working with Sony/Microsoft on world size – not “infinite” due to save size limits, but a lot bigger than PS3/Xbox 360.”
Furthermore, the developer confirmed that Playstation 4 version of Minecraft will use DualShock 4 controller touch pad feature for navigating the Creative UI
“Yes, the PS4 touchpad is quite nice for navigating the Creative UI”
In addition to this, 4J revealed that release date of Title Update 16 is not yet decided, but they confirmed that it will carry fix for bugs currently being found.
“Not sure yet. It will be an update to fix some of the bugs currently being found.” tweeted 4J Studios when asked for an update of TU16 release date.
