Ubisoft’s Jonathan Morin via Twitter has shared some juicy details regarding their upcoming hacking open world title, Watch Dogs. The details are about some of the exclusive features for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC, seamless online invasion and tailing feature for all platforms, installation details on Xbox 360 and more.
The first thing Morin confirmed was online invasion and tailing will be available on every platform “releasing soon”.
“Precision here: yes seamless invasion/tailing is available on every platforms releasing soon (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, 360, PC)” reads a tweet from Morin.
Please NOTE, there’s no mention of Wii U, does this mean these features won’t be available on it.
Later on, Morin provided installation details for Watch Dogs on Xbox 360. He confirmed that there will be two disks, and first disk needs mandatory installation and size is 7.5GB. If players don’t have a HDD or enough HDD space then make use of 8GB USB with a data transfer speed of 15 MB/Sec.
“You’ll need to install the 1st DVD. We support 8Gb USB key (15 mb/s) with 7.5 Gb free space on it or on HDD.” tweeted Morin
Furthermore, Morin revealed that the two exclusive next-gen features are “Data Decryption and Bonus free roam online options”.
Lastly, Morin explained that the reason behind why players won’t be able to control the weather in Watch Dogs i.e manually set the time of day and weather in the game after you complete the main story, like AC/Infamous?
“It was always about dynamism for us so even if you had an option to start in the rain it will go away after…” explained Morin.
Watch Dogs is scheduled to launch on May 27, 2014 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360. Wii U is not yet dated but is expected to arrive in 2014.
