EA Canada’s Brian Hayes has confirmed that the next title in UFC video game series will run at 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second with motion blur on the Xbox One and PS4.
On NeoGaf, Brian Hayes said: “UFC is running at 1080p. The game sim is running at 60 FPS, but rendering at 30 FPS with motion blur.”
Brain further added the development team has already worked on Fight Night Round 4 and Fight Night Champion that used both 60 and 40 FPS, however it was discovered that extra frames did not have any major or clear impact on end quality of graphics/visuals.
“In fact, when we focus tested the two, the majority of people preferred the 30FPS experience with motion blur. So, as opposed to arbitrarily jumping back to 60 FPS for little discernible benefit, we decided to put those resources towards improving the visual presentation of the game in other ways.”
The EA Sports-made UFC title is designed to use the new Ignite engine
The next UFC game is powered by EA’s Ignite Engin and is schedule to arrive in May 2014.
