Nintendo celebrates Super Mario Bros. 25 years anniversary

It is undeniable that everyone who read this, like it or not, Super Mario still holds the title King of the platforms.

Nintendo is celebrating because 25 years ago, Super Mario Bros. was released in Japan for Famicom, also known as NES.

“Stimulated by advancements in technologies, we have always enjoyed creating the Super Mario Bros. games. The series has always taken advantage of the latest technological advancements and is the fruit of creativity of many of my hard-working friends working closely as a team” says the creator of the character, Shigeru Miyamoto.

Among all the titles of the franchise now total over 240 million units sold worldwide .

To celebrate the event, Nintendo has opened a website where members can participate by submitting a video with your opinion about the series, your memories, congratulations or anything else you can think of related to Super Mario, to which other fans can comment.
