Nintendo has announced the exact worldwide release window for Nintendo NX. Speaking at their fiscal year earning conference, Nintendo announced that Nintendo NX will launch worldwide in March 2017 and it will not be officially unveiled at E3 2016 as The Legend of Zelda is going to be the focus of Nintendo E3 2016 conference.
Here is what Nintendo said about Nintendo NX launch window (taken from Operating Result PDF): “From the operating results PDF:
“For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is currently developing a gaming platform codenamed “NX” with a brand-new concept. NX will be launched in March 2017 globally.”
In addition to this, Nintendo also announced the release of The Legend of Zelda has been delayed to 2017, and NX version of the game is also in development. The game will launch simultaneously on both Wii U and Nintendo NX in 2017 (exact release window not yet revealed.)
Furthermore, The Legend of Zelda Will U version will be playable at E3 2016, in fact, it will also be the ONLY Wii U game that is playable at E3, this sounds pretty ODD but it is true.
