Nintendo Switch had more media coverage than Project Scorpio and PS4 Pro, the upcoming mid-cycle consoles coming from Sony and Microsoft between November 10 and late 2017. This was reported by Ico Partners, who built a pretty solid research across multi language websites and different types of magazines.
This doesn’t surprise me a lot, to be honest. Nintendo was able somehow to build a huge momentum by preventing leaks to come out before the official reveal, something Microsoft and Sony weren’t able to do. On top of that, Project Scorpio was only hinted at in the final part of an E3 2016 media briefing which was filled with other announcements (Xbox One S among them).
Sony had a meeting basically focused on PS4 Pro and results are indeed better for them, although Nintendo Switch was able to generate more expectations and coverage since the amount of time people have anticipated it was huge, and other few factors. For example, fans are eagerly waiting for Nintendo to have a proper return in the games industry after Wii U’s flop and the successful mobile strategy it has launched lately.
