Nintendo has announced today it will be holding a press event in New York on January 13 that will allow press, for the first time, to go hands-on with the upcoming Switch console. It’s set to be a private event, so don’t expect anyone to be playing the console and spreading the word on Internet unless they have an invite coming from Nintendo itself.
The New York event will come one day later the Tokyo presentation, that will be a web-based production on Nintendo Direct and is said to be providing more details about the console itself – remember we still have to learn the bundles, price and street date – and its launch lineup.
The event will be five hours long and will also be reserved for investors, so expect the usual shake-ups in case they like or not the Nintendo Switch project. The company “will further emphasize some of the details that Nintendo plans to announce.”
For players in Japan, the first playable unit of Nintendo Switch will be available in February 2017 at Tokaigi Japan Game Party 2017.
