Yesterday the review embargo on Call of Duty: Ghosts Xbox One version was lifted and some startling finding are coming out from big gaming publications like IGN, VideoGamer and others.
Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One does not suffer from nasty frame-rate that was reported in PS4 version of the game. As per details in CoD: Ghosts review from IGN and Polygon, the game consistently maintain 60FPS on Xbox One, whereas PS4 suffered from some nasty frame drops in multiplayer portion.
“The Xbox One release’s framerate was far more noticeable,” wrote Polygon. “As mentioned in the initial review, Call of Duty: Ghosts suffers from consistent framerate drops on the PS4, especially during multiplayer when action got especially hectic. The Xbox One version suffered no such drops, maintaining a steady 60 frames per second throughout.”
IGN reviewer said he faced “occasional framerate issues during the single-player campaign on PS3 and PS4, whereas my time with the Xbox One version was stable throughout”
Videogamer added, “at least the [Xbox One version] ran stable enough to keep me blaming myself and not the frame rate for any kills I may have suffered.”
Playstation 4 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts runs at 1080p 60 FPS resolution, whereas Xbox One version runs at 720p 60 FPS resolution.
