Partial PS4 Firmware 1.7 details leaked: PSN name change option and more, “things looking brighter for PS4”

Yesterday, Sony promised to reveal details regarding upcoming Playstation 4 firmware 1.7 later this week, but industry insider Tidux has already hinted few things that will arrive with update.

According to Tidux, things are looking brighter for Playstation 4, as option to change one’s Playstation Network nickname may finally see light of the day.

“To those of you who do not like your PSN name, things are looking brighter #PS4” wrote Tidux.

Secondly, it seems like some developers from Sony Vegas Pro provided helping hands in developing PS4 firmware 1.7 and improving PS4 video suite.

“Speaking of video editing, it’s some of the guys behind Vegas PRO who helped with latest update, I understand they have found some handy and good solutions.”

The details listed by Tidux are indeed pretty important. Now we just have to wait for Sony to reveal the official changelog of PS4 firmware 1.7. For readers who are raising question on the credibility of Tidux, he is the same guy who leaked details about User Interface of Playstation 4 before it was officially announced.
