It seems like Polyphony Digital has shared a first set of artworks for their upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive game, Gran Turismo Sport. The studio shared the artworks at their annual Christmas party held at their office in Japan (you can check them out below, artworks are posted on the walls). The high resolution version of these artwork were shared by Super GT drivers Kohei Hirate, Satoshi Motoyama and Masashi Honda.
Gran Turismo Sport was announced at Paris Games Week 2015. It is going to be the thirteenth game overall in the Gran Turismo video game franchise, however it is a separate, standalone entry and is not part of the main numbered series.
Gran Turismo Sport will include three game modes: “Campaign”, “Sports Mode” and “Arcade Mode”. Both offline and online racing will feature in the game. The game has been described as different from the “Prologue” titles seen in the past in the series and will feature more content.
The game is expected to have much improved gameplay elements due to the enhanced processing power of the PlayStation 4. It will also support Sony’s upcoming Virtual Reality headset “PlayStation VR”. A beta is scheduled to take place in the first quarter and second quarter of 2016 before a full release later in the year.
