Recently, Sony announced that they have decided to increase PlayStation Plus subscription price from September 2016. According to the details posted by Sony on their official blog, 12 months subscription of PS Plus will carry a price tag of $60, 3 months subscription will cost $25, and the monthly plan will be available for $10. This new price tag will come into effect on September 22 in the United States and Canada.
At the time of the announcement, Sony did not share any update on price hike for the European region. It seems like Sony skipped the announcement for European region because the prices will not increase. On the Dutch official PlayStation Community Forum it has been announced that the European PlayStation Plus prices will not increase, as is the case in the United States and Canada. The PlayStation Plus offering will remain the same it was.
You can check out the comment by the Dutch Community Manager here (screenshot below along with the English translation):
In the United States and Canada will increase the price of a PS Plus subscription and a 3-month subscription. This was announced recently by the American blog. I can reassure you that the price increase will not come to Europe and our PlayStation Plus offer remains the same. Watch the games from August 2016.
