Today, Sony via Playstation Blog finally announced details regarding Playtation Plus and retail version of their upcoming Playstation 4 exclusive racing title, DriveClub.
In the comment section of the post, SCE Product Manager Chris Brown stated that the moment player’s Playstation Plus subscription expires he/she will loose access to the game including upgrade which costs $50.
Here is what Chris Brown said:
“If your PS+ Subscription lapses, you won’t be able to access the PS+ Edition. But as soon as your membership becomes active again, you can start playing right away. Basically, as long as your PS+ Subscription is active, you’ll have access to the PS+ Edition of DRIVECLUB.”
Now this is what initially promised by Sony and Evolution Studios:
“When you upgrade from the PS+ Edition you get the full digital edition which doesn’t require a PS+ subscription,” Rustchynsky said
As expected this thing didn’t go down too well with Playstation Community and they are openly showing their displeasure to big guns at Sony including Game Director Rustchynsk via comment section of PS Blog Europe and North America.
Playstation 4 owners are bombarding Sony and Evolution Studios with comments like misleading advertisement, anti-consumer policies and lot more. On seeing things going out of control, Game Director Paul Rustchynsky via Twitter stated that he’s in talk with Sony for more clarification on this controversial issue
Tell us in the comment section below what you guys have to say about this controversial DriveClub PS Plus edtition issue, is it indeed a misleading advertisement?
