According to report shared by iSpot TV, Microsoft outspend Sony by a massive margin in terms of spending on TV advertising for Xbox One vs PlayStation 4. For Xbox One advertising this year, Microsoft spend over $47 million (for 5000 commercials), whereas Sony spend $30 million (for 3000 commercials).
Further breakdown reveal that both Sony and Microsoft showed their PS4 and Xbox One ads during National Football League games than any other program.
Xbox One Ads Showcased Breakdown: NFL Football, 2014 FIFA World Cup, Talking Dead, MLB Baseball and Family Guy, whereas PlayStation 4 Ads were showcased: “The NFL Football, Sportscenter, Fox Sports Live, Family Guy and WWE Monday Night Raw”.
