Ready at Dawn is working on a triple-A multi-platform title after the first, not so successful in terms of sales and critics, game called The Order: 1886. The Order was supposed to be the first in a series but it looks rather difficult to see a follow up after the poor results of 1886. CTO Andrea Pessino has revealed that the titles in the works are “more than one project”, “each very different”. He also said he had “most fun I’ve had making games”.
This seems to suggest two different paths. First, a project among these must be the multi-platform AAA title which was ‘announced’ a few months back. It’s also coming to Xbox One.
Then, we wouldn’t exclude a portable title for PS Vita or even Nintendo 3DS, now that the agreement for exclusive Sony console games has expired, which would result in ultimately respecting the studio vocation for portable experience.
What we can give for sure is that, among all the weaknesses, The Order: 1886 was an interesting game to deal with and we’d really love if this developer could have a second chance to improve on that basis.
@Tidux @mattylatvala43 more than one project in the works, each very different/exciting, you’ll see. Most fun I’ve ever had making games
