NPD Group has just revealed the best selling games in January in the United States, and unsurprisingly Resident Evil 7 topped the chart in its debut month. Capcom survival horror successfully rebooted the franchise after few uninspired chapters, which were anyway resulting in good commercial results despite having fans unsatisfied of the outcome.
Interestingly, Rainbow Six Siege entered all over again the top ten best selling video games chart in the United States. It’s mainly because of the good post-launch Ubisoft delivered since the launch of the game in 2015, and also because a new edition of the title was released celebrating the launch of the Year 2 season pass with a new rush of incoming content.
This is the complete software chart:
- Resident Evil 7
- Call of Duty Infinite Warfare
- Battlefield 1
- Grand Theft Auto V
- NBA 2K17
- Madden 17
- Watch Dogs 2
- Titanfall 2
- Rainbow Six Siege
