Sea of Thieves Loot And Encounters New Details As Provided By Phil Spencer
Talking about a recent playtest, Phil Spencer provided a few new info and impressions about the much anticipate pirate-based Rare MMO Sea of Thieves, which is hopefully coming next year for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC as part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program.
According to the Xbox Head, water looks great and loot is interesting, which is possibly as much as we wanted to know about the upcoming title, at a first glimpse very similar in terms of mechanics to the likes of The Division and Destiny. Moreover, there’s a night and day cycle, which we already knew about, but this apparently leads to completely different types of encounters.
Spencer met, for example, a ship at night and that looked “interesting”. While he didn’t provide any other detail about this topic, it seems the game is offering an entirely different experience with NPC based on the different times we’re going to meet them throughout the map. And this surely looks interesting.
We’re looking forward to learning more about Sea of Thieves sometime in 2017.
Just played the latest @SeaOfThieves with the @RareLtd team and some friends. Found loot and good times were had and the water looked great.

@MrKrisSteel @SeaOfThieves @RareLtd I played through a full day-night-day cycle. Encountering another ship at night is interesting.
