Spencer: Xbox One Won’t Get Screenshot Feature Until 2015, says “Little More Technically Challenging Than I Thought”

Recently, Microsoft announced details regarding all new features and additions that are coming to Xbox One with November firmware for Xbox One. The changelog/list does not included “Screenshot” feature and so many Xbox fans expect that it will be made available via December Firmware for Xbox One. Sadly, this is not the case, as confirmed by Xbox Division Boss Phil Spencer.

Speaking to our friend at IGN, Spencer revealed that Xbox One screenshot feature won’t arrive until 2015. He said:

“In December, it’s probably a time for us to pause for a little bit and settle just as all the new consoles are coming online.”

“As we come back into the new year, we’ll see new stuff, and screenshots is on the list,” Spencer said.

When pressed for an update as to why it is taking so long to add Screenshot feature to Xbox One? Spencer replied:

“It’s a little more technically challenging than I thought. Two weeks ago, they think they’ve found a good solution for screenshots. They’re working on it. They know people want it. The team has a path to getting it done, and now it’s just prioritizing.”

Are you guys happy with the support Xbox One has received from Microsoft after its launch since November 2014? What else apart from Screenshot feature would you guys like to see from Microsoft?
