Super Mario Odyssey Purchasable Costume Guide: Cost, Location, and Outfits in Every Kingdom
When it comes to the series’ inaugural Nintendo Switch release, Super Mario Odyssey is an amazing Super Mario title for the console. Mario is back with a world that’s bigger than ever before, with plenty of new features to check out. And the game’s open-world gameplay, as well as its sentient sidekick cap called Cappy, add plenty more ways to explore Mario’s world.
One new feature? Custom costumes. Mario can now dress up in a variety of outfits, from safari gear to Princess Peach’s white wedding dress. Granted, some costumes aren’t available for purchase in-game, and others are available strictly through grabbing an amiibo. Others have to be unlocked through collecting Power Moons. But if you’re looking to save up your gold and purple coins for a special costume, here’s what you can grab in each kingdom.
Cap Kingdom
Black Top Hat and Black Tuxedo

These two items are some of the first ones available in Super Mario Odyssey, and it doesn’t take long to purchase them. Grab them from the Crazy Cap Shop. The hat costs five purple coins, whereas the tuxedo will run you 10.
Cascade Kingdom
Boxer Shorts

This is one of the first costumes available, but it will cost you. In order to let Mario run around freely in his boxers, you’ll have to pay 1,000 gold. Just stack up on coins and splurge to receive a half-naked Mario. Grab it from the Crazy Cap Shop after reaching the Cascade Kingdom.
