Super Mario Odyssey Ranks Third in North American Sales For October

Super Mario Odyssey was only on sale for a couple days in October, but Mario’s debut on the Nintendo Switch sold extremely well in North America. For Oct. 2017, NPD ranks Super Mario Odyssey’s physical sales at third place, beating out multiple best-selling titles that launched last month.

Super Mario Odyssey rests comfortably in third place, outranking South Park: The Fractured But Whole and trailing just behind Assassin’s Creed Origins. Meanwhile, Middle-earth: Shadows of War landed in first place for sales. Keep in mind, Super Mario Odyssey’s digital sales weren’t counted in NPD’s report, so NPD may have slightly underestimated the actual sell through number for Nintendo’s Super Mario hit.
