"If you're a fan of the Deadliest Catch or just enjoy a great challenge, this game will have you on your toes and determined to beat the storm and catch some crab, just like the daring captains and crew on the series," said Lynn Monica, vice president and general manager of mobile games for Hands-On Mobile.
In the game, players take on the role of a captain and pick their vessel, crew and gear. They then set sail on a dangerous and exciting journey across the Bering Sea. It's a race against time to fill their crab quotas and return their crew home safely to Dutch Harbor. The players' survival skills are tested with treacherous weather conditions and unexpected challenges.
Key game features include:
A suite of mini games with the option to play each as a stand-alone casual game.
As the game progresses, players win money and get points. Players can save up and cash in to unlock bigger more expensive boats and more experienced crew.

Slick visual and audio presentation.

Playrix Entertainment, a top-tier casual games developer and publisher of such hits as Royal Envoy, 4 Elements, Gardenscapes and others, announced that it is bringing one of its best-selling titles, Call of Atlantis, to iPhone and iPod touch. Faithful to the original game design of the worldwide popular PC and Mac version, but adapted specifically for the iPhone and iPod, Call of Atlantis will be available on the App Store in May of 2010.
“Call of Atlantis for iPhone and iPod touch marks the first internal adaptation of our games to this viable platform, and we’re excited at how smoothly it has translated to this device,” said Igor Bukhman, Playrix’s President, Products.“We have stayed true to the original version of the game with seamless gameplay and fantastic graphics, but optimized it for the iPhone and iPod users adding some interactive mini games and integrating Facebook Connect, to name just a few. Taking into account the astounding performance of the PC and Mac versions across the boards and numerous awards the title has received to date, we are positive that the iPhone audience will enjoy our compelling tile-swapping puzzler as well.”
Fully optimized for the touch screen with both landscape and portrait display, featuring Facebook Connect, and including a number of other iPhone-specific characteristics the game sets new quality standards for the iPhone puzzle games.
Call of Atlantis for iPhone, a mix of Match-3 and Adventure, takes players on an exciting new quest around the ancient lands of the Mediterranean. Players’ goal is to acquire 7 mysterious crystals of power by swapping adjacent tiles and driving the pieces of artifacts to the bottom of the game screen. Collecting all the crystals of power and bringing them back to the Altar of Poseidon, will appease the patron god of the Atlanteans and return peace and prosperity to the fabled sunken continent.
