  • DICE: Battlefield Bad Company 2 PS3 maintenance work tomorrow

    On official Battlefield blog DICE announced that PS3 Battlefield: Bad Company 2 online mode will be down due maintaince work. Gamers will face downtime from tomorrow morning approximately for five hours between the following timezones:

    • 10:00pm – 3:00am PST
    • 0:01 am – 5:00am EST
    • 6:00am – 11:00am GMT
    • 7:00am – 12:00pm CET

    NOTE FROM DICE: There will be some minor stats issues right after the downtime when all the players are getting back online at the same time.

    DICE has announced that multiplayer expansion pack Vietnam, for their shooting game title Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is appearently the last expansion pack for the game.

    In an interview Bjorn Johansson was quizzed whether Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam is the last DLC fot the game to which he replied:

    "You should never say never, but we have nothing planned right now when it comes to even more maps for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 or Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam. VIP Map Pack 7 is probably the last one."

    According to current assumptions, the acclaimed team is currently working on other projects. However, players may not complaining because Battefield: Bad Company 2 has been supported very well.

  • Operation Hastings map Announced for Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam

    We all are aware that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be coming later this month with four maps, now DICE is planning to release a new and fifth map pack titled "Operation Hasting".

    But there is a catch for getting access to this Operation Hastling map, gamers of Xbox 360, PC and PS3 need to perform a combined 69 million team action.

    These team action constitutes of any of the following action, here is the details:

    • Resupply
    • Revive
    • Heal
    • Spot
    • Repair

    One more thing to note here is that team action performed in the main game and in the digital expansion will be counted for common goal.

  • EA Announced Release Date for Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam

    EA on its official Store twitter account has announced a release date for PC version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam. It will be coming out on December 18 with a price tag of £10.

    No release date for the console version of the game were given out but it is rumored that it will be hitting on November 20.

    DICE has revealed details about the upcoming patch update for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 which will be coming out for PC and Xbox 360 version of the game.

    According to the details patch update for PC version will prepare the shooter for VIP Map Pack 7 and also for Vietnam based multiplayer expansion, whereas patch update for Xbox 360 version will take care of bugs and balance fixes. It is said that the update is 2.6GB in size.

  • DICE Announced Battlefield: Bad Company 2 VIP Map Pack 7

    DICE has announced a new DLC pack titled VIP Map Pack 7 for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 which will add four new multiplayer map to the game.

    It has been confirmed that the developers has picked up fans favourite Battlefield: Bad Company maps and revamp it for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 with full Destruction 2.0, upgraded visuals and lightning, new music and extra sound effects.

    Map 1: Oasis

    Origin: Battlefield: Bad Company multiplayer
    Game modes: Rush, Conquest, Squad Rush, Squad Deathmatch

    Game modes: Rush, Conquest, Squad Rush, Squad Deathmatch

    Map 3: Cold War

    The DLC will be free of cost for both PC and console version of the game, no release date has been announced yet.

  • Battlefield: Bad Company 2 PC Patch Coming Out this Week

    Battlefield: Bad Company 2 PC is finally coming out after its got delay, this patch will fixes large number of bug fixes and also improve various features in it. The complete change log is listed below. DICE has announced the time for the update. The PC patch update for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is of 890 MB and the server will begins patching it from Wednesday, June 30th at 7:00 AM (GMT+2).

    The Change Log:

    • Slightly increased the damage of the UZI at long range.
    • The AKs74u now has more felt recoil when aiming.
    • The G3, VSS, and all SemiAutomatic rifles now settle slightly faster between shots when aiming.
    • The PKM, Type 88LMG, G3, An94, and 40mm shotgun have returned to their former glory.
    • Increased the damage of the MG3 to bring it in line with the rest of the LMGs.
    • Fixed a bug where the Saiga12 with slugs would do too much damage at long range.
    • Fixed a bug where the SVU would do too little damage at long range.
    • Fixed a bug where M95 rounds would not kill armored targets with headshots.
