• Brink new patch update available for download

    Splash Damage has released a new patch update for Brink. The patch is now available for download via Steam. According to the details revealed, this new patch features various user interface fixes,additions to the spectator mode, new server information and better balancing.

    To download this new patch, all you need to do is start the Steam client. Check out the complete change log below:

    • Balancing: Lowered Hacker terminal disarm rate to 0.6 (from 0.9)
    • Spectator mode: Added new HUD displaying objective information
    • Server Browser: Added dedicated/listen server type filter
    • Added server information to map loading screens in multiplayer. Server admins can customise this via the following cvars:
    • si_website
    • si_adminName
    • si_email
    • si_irc
    • si_motd_1
    • si_motd_2
    • si_motd_3
    • si_motd_4
    • Spectator mode: Added faction colors to player names
    • Spectator mode: Health bars now visible when looking directly at players
    • Stopwatch mode: Added 10 seconds to each defending team’s spawn time
    • Stopwatch mode: Added support for custom defence respawn timer adjustments via g_stopWatchDefenceRespawnTimerAdjust
    • Stopwatch mode: Added objective timing information to Stopwatch review screen
    • Added support for listing players steam id’s via the listSteamIds cvar
    • UI: Added automatic scrolling when typing in chat boxes
    • UI: Stop context menus receiving focus when they are disabled and inactive
    • UI: Game now forces a refresh of the notifications screen each time it is activated
    • UI: Set focus to default (first) list item each time the notifications screen is activated
    • UI: Updated two text strings for German and Italian, as “Game mode” and “Play mode” incorrectly used the same word
    • Fixed player nametags disappearing despite not being affected by Flashbang
    • Fixed boat shaking for clients in CCity and Shipyard opening cinematics
    • Fixed Aquarium only ever logging one objective being completed
    • Fixed having your weapon stuck in iron-sights for the entire refire duration when needing to perform an auto-reload
    • Fixed issue with caltrop models not always being updated properly
  • Brink DLC "Agents of Change" free only for two weeks, patch for console incoming

    Splash Damage has announced that the first DLC for Brink titled as "Agents of Change" will launch in the month of July, and it will be available for free of cost but for a limited time period (for 2 weeks only).

    The DLC will include two new environments, five new player abilities, two new outfits, and two new weapon attachments.

    The developer also announced that a title update for console version of the game will launch in few days, and it will include "online optimizations, AI enhancements and weapon balance tweaks based on player feedback."

  • LulzSec next target: "Brink Players"

    The infamous hacker group LulzSec on their personal twitter account revealed the name of their next target, and its none other than "players of Brink". The group said on twitter that a plan to attack Brink gamers is in work


    LulzSec has been responsible for various internet attacks, still no real motive behind the attack is known. Earlier today the group heavily criticise all Playstation 3 users complaining about Playstation Network Outage issue.

  • Brink PC patch available now

    Splash Damage has released a new patch update for PC version of Brink. This new update carries fix for audio and memory bugs, improves memory performance and also additionnal interface and servie issues.

  • New Brink patch will be available next week, details revealed

    Splash Damage has revealed the details regarding the next patch update for PC and console version of Brink. This new patchis expected to be launched for all versions at somepoint next, exact date will be reveal in coming day.

    Xbox 360

    • Completed modifications to improve network performance.
    • Fix an isolated freezing issue reported by some German players who should no longer experience that problem once the update has been installed.


    • The cause of sound dropping out on certain maps when playing networked games for a prolonged amount of time has been identified. This will no longer occur.
    • Graphical performance has been improved, especially when using Ambient Occlusion. Closely worked with both AMD and NVIDIA, folks should see performance and stability improvements in future driver revisions from both parties.
    • The server browser is tweaked in this update, as well; among other things, a new filter allows you to display only servers with a certain number of players on them, and full servers will no longer be filtered out completely.
    • There are some smaller fixes for minor issues including your character’s voice occasionally resetting when deleting another character, and a memory leak when alt-tabbing out of the game.
    • The dedicated server is set to get an update at the same time as the main game, which will result in improved CPU performance. Certain cvars are protected that previously allowed server admins to accidentally break objectives involving NPCs.
    • The full changelog will be released alongside the update.


    • With PSN back online, multiplayer testing will resume. Changes in the upcoming Xbox 360 title update will be applied to the PS3 version quickly.
  • UK Charts: Brinks takes top spot

    UK Charts data for week ending May 14 has been revealed, and its Bethesda's latest release "Brink" that has taken the top spot.

    Brink overtaken last week topper Zumba Fitness to the top spot, its now at third spot. LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean is at two. Valve's Portal 2 and COD: Black Ops completes top five.

  • Splash Damage: First Brink DLC will be available for free

    Splash Damage has announced that the very first DLC for Brink will be available for free of cost. The DLC is schedule to release this June and will offer fans new maps and weapons.

  • Bethesda releases Brink launch trailer

    Bethesda has released a launch trailer for their upcoming Splash Damage shooter "Brink". The game is slated to launch in United States tomorrow, and in Europe it will launch on Friday.

  • Brink PC system requirements and Steamworks feature revealed

    Bethesda has just revealed the Steamwork feature and the PC system requirement for Brink. First let me tell you about the Steamwork feature that will be included in the game, Achievements, VOIP, challenge leaderboards, Valve anti cheat, dedicated servers, friends support (including invites and joining session in progress), and Steam Cloud for save data.

  • Brink launch moved forward a week by Bethesda

    Bethesda has moved forward the launch of their upcoming first person shooting game title Brink. Previously Brink was slated to launch on May 17 in United States, and on May 19 in Europe.

    The new launch date for Brink, May 10 for United States, and May 13 for Europe.
