  • GDC 2011: CryEngine 3 demo

    Last week at GDC 2011 behind the closed doors session, Epic Games showcase what the next generation of gaming will look like as they demo its Unreal Engine 3. Now this week Crytek has revealed a video footage showing of their very own CryEngine 3.

    The video footage looks really very stunning as it shows development of highly detailed, dense environment which is created in detail, lighting, animation and much more. Watch out the video below:

  • GDC 2011: Suker Punch to reveal Big Secret today

    Sucker Punch, developer of inFamous 2 and Sly Cooper has announced on its official facebook page that today at GDC they will reveal a big secret, that was kept under wrap by them for more than two years.

    Today is very exciting day. We’ve been holding a big secret for the last two years and at GDC later today… We get to tell you all about it.

    Anyone putting their money on Sly Cooper 4, then its sad news for you as Sucker Punch later confirmed that:

    Ok everyone No a sly 4 announcement is not the secret. Sorry to disappoint some

    Can anyone out there guess secret that Sucker Punch hide for more than two year, is it related to inFamous 2 or an entirely new game title?

  • Paradox Interactive adds "Sword of the Stars II: Lords of Winter" to its GDC 2011 line-up

    Paradox Interactive has added new game title to its line-up for the upcoming 2011 Game Developer's Conference. The last minute entry by the developer is Sword of the Stars II: Lords of Winter, a follow up and a new installment to 4X-styled Sword of the Stars franchise.

  • Modern Warfare 3 will be revealed at GDC? (Updated)

    If its true, then i can't wait for this. A website called "findmakarov" is suggesting that the next game in COD series, "COD: Modern Warfare 3" will be showcase at next week GDC, the event is schedule to run from February 28-March 4, 2011.

    Currrently the website is showing a coundown clock whose timing will ends exactly during GDC, many things in the clock such as fonts and style of the number looks similar to the previous Call of Duty's.

    COD: Modern Warfare 3 is rumored to be a prequel to the franchise in which gamers will play as Ghost (one of the key and important charcter in Modern Warfare 2).


    Activision Spokesperson in an interview to Geoff Keighley confirmed that they are not revealing anything at GDC. Here is what Geoff Keighley informed all of us on Twitter:

    "Expecting a Call of Duty reveal next week? Spoke to Activision and they want to make very clear it's not happening next week."

  • Thief 4 to be premiere at GDC in March

    Except for a notice of Thief 4 so far nothing could be seen of the game. That should change now as the game will be premiered at this year's GDC in San Francisco in March.

    According to Eidos Montreal's Paul Weir would get there probably show through the game's own generative "GRAMPS" system and demonstrate the key design features and suggest some best practice techniques.

    Weir also wants to show you how you can use a single person acting as a composer, sound designer and audio director to create a unified sound

  • Epic Games new IP will be unveil at 2011 Games Developer Conference

    Epic Games new IP will be revealed at 2011 Games Developer Conference which take place in California from February 28 to March 4.

    Till now Epic Games has been quite successful in keeping their new IP under wraps even though there were many rumours that the title in question is for Kinect, but there isn't any concrete evidence to support it.

    In an interview Cliff Bleszinksi, Epic Games Lead Designer said "I believe game designers are the Stan Lees and Jack Kirbys of our day,"

    "we're creating these universes that leave a huge impact on people. Gamers votes with their dollars and they often like established IP, but those IPs came from somewhere, right?"

    He further added "Call of Duty was crafted by the original Medal of Honor guys. Gears of War was crafted by the original Unreal Tournament guy. I look forward to creating what's next."
