    Rebellion Developments' upcoming tactical shooter video game "Sniper Elite V2" will be censored in Germany. The game will be launched with the Kill Hitler mission.

  • Gears of War 3 will launch in Germany completely uncut

    Great news for all fans of Gears of War 3 in Germany. The game will launch completely uncut in the country. The news was confirmed by Microsoft at an event held in Munich.

    The German software rating body rated the game "18". This means that Gears of War 3 will be the first offshoot of the action series, which will be available in German Stores.

    Gears of War 3 will launch on September 20 for Xbox 360.

  • Duke Nukem Forever finally approved for Germany, rated 18+

    Gearbox Software upcoming first person shooting game title Duke Nukem Forever has been approved for German launch, the game got 18+ rating in the territory (uncut version).

    The news was confirmed by 2K spokeswomen Elizabeth on the game's official forum, here is what she wrote:

    Hey guys,

    I wanted to officially announce some news that I know some of you have been wondering about for a while: What age rating DNF got in Germany, and whether the game was cut at all.

    We received an 18 age rating and the game is completely uncut – you will also be able to choose to play in English or German!

    Duke Nukem Forever will launch on May 3 in North America, and on May 6 worldwide for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

  • Bulletstorm censored in Germany

    First German Entertainment Software Rating Board censored Call of Duty: Black Ops, and now its Bulletstorm. The German software rating body has heavily censored EA's upcoming first-person shooter Bulletstorm. It has got USK 18+ rating.

    According to the reports the german edition of the game will not feature:

    • Ragdoll Effect
    • Blood
    • Splatter or Dismemberment

    However, to overcome the censorship issue publisher is planning to release the uncensored Austrian version of the game (PEGI 18) in Germany, provided it doesn't get a ban ahead of its late February release. If this happens then fans can opt for full blood-soaked experience if they wish to.
