  • Ghost Recon: Future Soldier patch 1.6 Now Live for PC, adds Hardcore Mode and more

    Ubisoft has just released a new patch for PC version of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. As per the details in the changelog, this latest patch adds adds a Hardcore mode, improves performance and shadows quality on Guerrilla maps, as well as online stability.

    Hardcore mode – With Title Update 1.6, PC players benefit from an exclusive hardcore mode for the campaign. Here’s what you can expect:

    • Teammates are less resistant;
    • Optical camo deactivated if the player moves;
    • Several changes to the intel; eg: sensor grenades only last for 3 seconds, drones & goggles less “powerful”;
    • Enemies shoot much more quickly when equipped with weapons such as RPG, shotguns, snipers;
    • Players die… much more quickly… and regen is slow;
    • More lethal (+30% damage);
    • Less bullets.

    Additional Notes:

    • Added the support for the ‘Raven Strike’ and ‘Khyber Strike’ DLC.
    • Improved performance on complex maps, e.g. ‘Shattered Mountain’.
    • Improved visual quality.
    • Changed global illumination on most maps. ‘Global Illumination’ option has to be re-adjusted again in Graphics Options to reflect change in performance.

  • Ghost Recon: Future Soldier patch 1.4 Live Now, details revealed

    Ubisoft has just released a major patch 1.4 for PC version of Ghost Recon Future Soldier. This new patch carries fix for several stability issues that occured during map loading.

    It also comes with global improvements in FPS for all configurations. The publisher has also announced that this is mandatory update, and gamers will be unable to participate in online matches with players who have not updated.

    Known issues and workarounds:   

    • Issue with Steam version on Windows Vista: After applying the patch, the desktop shortcut will not work.
    • Solution: The player can start the game directly from the Steam Library. This issue will be fixed as soon as possible.
    • Issue: The News Feed will disappear if the player changes their selection on the main menu.
    • Solution: The player can see the News Feed when reentering the main menu page. This issue will be fixed in the next Title Update.
    • Issue with Manual installation: the game uninstall window will launch when trying to re-install Title Update 1.4 manually.
    • Solution: do not try to manually install TU 1.4 twice.

  • Ghost Recon Future Soldier gets Double XP event for One Full WEEK, until July 17

    Ubisoft has announced a full week of double XP event for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, to celebrate the announcement of Artic Strike DLC. This double XP will go on through the release of Arctic Strike on July 17.

It includes additional multiplayer maps, a new adversarial gametype, a new Guerrilla Mode co-op map, six additional weapons to provide for even more diversity in your arsenal, and more,"

    Here are the details of Adversarial Game Type. It will be playable on all 13 multiplayer maps.

    • When players die they go to a respawn queue – the “Stockade”.
    • When a player gets a kill, one dead teammate gets freed from the Stockade.
    • Completing an objective frees all of their teammates from the Stockade.

  • Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Xbox 360 gets new patch, arriving on PS3 next week

    Ubisoft has released a new patch for Xbox 360 version of Ghost Recon Future Soldier. The publisher also added that for PS3, this same patch will arrive next week.

    Ghost Recon Future Soldier This new patch improves overall experience of Ghost Recon Future Soldier, and also implemented changes taken as feedback from gamers.

    Matchmaking and Connection:

    • Reduce the maximum required bandwidth;
    • Improving the selection of the host;

    Progress:

    • The displayed level of the character is not misrepresented;

    Voice Chat on PS3:

    • The mistake that led to the failure of the voice of the player has been fixed;
    • The mute function is no longer the changes consist in the lobby;
    • Saving Private / equipment assigned by the game:
    • The last class of equipment used is now made out of matches;
    • Only the latest features of a class is synchronized between private and system link matches;

    Other:

    • Code was added, with which we can control the number of rounds in siege mode;
    • The "double bonus" is no longer lost after Umskillen - players who have lost the bonus, it will be returned with the patch;
    • An error that led to a continuous infinite loading screen has been fixed;
    • One reason for irregular crashes has been fixed;
    • Multiple exploits in terms of experience and cards were removed.
