  • Activision ends Guitar Hero & DJ Hero Franchises, also canned True Crime: Hong Kong

    No more Guitar Hero and DJ Hero games on any system. YES, you read it right, Activision has announced that from now on they won't releasing Guitar Hero or DJ Hero games. The reason stated by them for this development was, "due tocontinued declines in the music genre".

    The publisher also revealed that development work on True Crime: Hong Kong has been stopped, since the game was just not good enough.

    For some these decision comes as a shocked, whereas other are welcoming it saying that it a good bussiness move, as Guitar Hero franchise definitely saw a significantly declined in term of popularity amongs fans. What you think about this decision from Activision?, do let us know.

  • Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock Wii To Have Facebook and Twitter Support

    Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rocks will be the very firt game title releasing on Wii with social networking support (Twitter and Facebook).

    Revealing the details at one of the event at San Francisco Joe Fisher said,  “We’ve done a lot in the online realm this year,”.

    “We are the first Wii title to support social networking sites, with Facebook and Twitter".

    “When your friends do accomplishments in the game, you can broadcast those to your friends as well as to social networking sites. We’ve also incorporated a Wii award system, so when you do specific challenges in the game, you get credited for an award. You can share those with your online friends as well.”

    That good news for Nintendo Wii and Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock fans.

    Guitar Hero: Warrior of Rock comes out in Unitend Kingdom on September 24, and on September 28 in US.

  • Rolling Stones Song Pack Now Available for Guitar Hero App

    Hot on the heels of the successful release of Guitar Hero for iPhone and iPod touch, Activision Publishing, Inc. announced today that ABKCO Records’ Rolling Stones song pack featuring “Gimme Shelter,(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction and “Honky Tonk Women” is now available for purchase through the in-game app.

    “We are thrilled with the explosive launch of the Guitar Hero app,” said David Haddad, Chief Operating Officer for Guitar Hero. “Bringing the Guitar Hero experience to iPhone and iPod touch allows our fans to experience and interact with great music in a compelling way – anytime and anywhere. We’ve seen great support for the app and also for the exciting additional game tracks... What better way to reward our fans, than by bringing them an incredible new song pack by The Rolling Stones?”

    Published by Activision and created by Guitar Hero veteran developer, Vicarious Visions, Inc., and built exclusively from the ground up for the iPhone and iPod touch, the Guitar Hero app takes full advantage of the platforms’ functionality and features all-new, innovative gameplay that will keep players rocking out as they strum, tap, slide and whammy to the hottest tracks from bands they know and love.     Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock has been reveal by Activision. This new title will be the sixth title in the series and will be release for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii. GUitar Hero: Warrior of Rock will be releasing this fall.

    Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock will include more than 90 tracks, featuring original songs, special re-records, and tracks from bands making their videogame debut. Activision hasn't revealed the entire set list, but whatever has been reveal we have it for you
